At the recent Triennial Awards ceremony of The Worshipful Company of Tylers and Bricklayers in London, The Borough Yards Development was awarded the highest accolade in the brick category for Excellence in Brickwork.
Congratulations to the Borough Yards Development for receiving the prestigious accolade at The Worshipful Company of Tylers and Bricklayers' Triennial Awards! This recognition of excellence in brickwork reflects the innovative design approach by SPPARC Architects, which beautifully integrated the historic character of the site with modern urban development.
Reinstating the Medieval street pattern and working with 8,500m² of Victorian Railway Arches, the project needed a brick that could marry the old and the new. NR Taylor, in collaboration with Traditional Brick and Stone (TBS), found the perfect solution by developing the bespoke Borough Blend brick, specifically designed to meet the complex demands of the project and bring the architectural vision to life.
This award highlights the importance of thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and material choice in urban regeneration projects.
